Description

Commemorating Remembrance Day with an image of a red poppy.

This $2 coin was distributed by RSL clubs throughout Australia as part of their annual November 11 red poppy appeal and was placed on an RSL donation certificate.

It was the first $2 coin in Australia to be coloured and is the most expensive of the coloured coins for this reason.

The coin was also released without the colouring in 2012. It was then also reproduced in 2018 as part of the 30th anniversary of the $2 coin with the only difference being that it is marked with the 2018 year on the head side.
